Pedestrian crossings and rail and tram crossings can be improved by using MILS^® lighting products mounted in the ground helping to ensure that people are aware of the status of the crossing, even when looking down and wearing earphones.

The MILS^® system is also being used to highlight roundabouts, by mounting a dynamic tunnel type stripe at curb level which not only shows that there is a roundabout but also indicates direction of travel.
