LED Technology for Emergency Lighting

In May 2008 MariCap® acquired MTG-Engineering Ltd, and created the new company MariMils®, a part of the MariGroup® of companies. The company´s focus is on the intelligent Guiding of People using it's MILS® solution. The core staff from MTG-Engineering were employed by MariMils® along with some key new people to enable the company to move forward with it's aggressive business plan.

The headquarters were moved to the MariGroup® business area in Korso, which is conveniently located near to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, where it is located in it's own custom designed production and office building.

In early 2009 MariMils® acquired a complementary technology from UPM, a sensing system which can monitor people by use of a capacitive field detection laminate, connected to electronics and software. MariMils® also acquired ELSI Technologies, which had been implementing this technology within the healthcare market.
